Our President, Ken Koskiniemi, has always been a healthy and active guy. For the last 20 years, he has traveled the country doing his job as a Project Mgr./Project Controls Manager on jobs ranging from the flight deck of Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner, to various nuclear plants and mining companies.  He averaged nearly 50 flights a year while commuting back to his home base in Dallas, Texas, on the weekends.

Early in 2020, Ken contracted Covid 19, months before the vaccinations became available. After recovering from the initial virus, he developed Long Covid, or lasting symptoms of stiff joints and muscle pain and weakness.  His medical doctor prescribed large daily doses of prednisone which somewhat alleviated the pain, but led to undesirable side effects.  He experienced some common side effects of prednisone including: insomnia, high blood sugar, and loss of bone density.

In 2021, upon the advice of his eldest son, Ken decided to begin a CDB regimen, and was pleased to get measurable, positive results within just a few months.  He began sleeping better, his blood sugar returned to normal, and the range of motion in his hands returned to pre-Covid days.  Even his doctors were impressed with his progress, and wanted to learn more about his regimen.

After discussing his story with others, he was surprised to find a lot of other people getting positive benefits from using CBD products.  CBD was suddenly flooding the market with a new vape shop on every corner. Many of the products in the local shops had no test results verifying the potency or the purity of the ingredients.  Ken decided to go about manufacturing CBD products that could be trusted. He applied for and received a Hemp handler’s license from the Department of Health and Human Services.  It was number 302 in the State of Texas.  There were perhaps thousands of manufacturers already existing in Texas, many selling without a license or an approved facility.

After spending 10 months on R & D, Ken launched Sweet Wellness LLC, in November of 2021, providing CBD and Delta 8 products with verifiable, third-party lab test results shown on the QR codes of every label.  His most recent product is a potent, targeted pain relief oil called Jitz-joints. He consulted with pharmacists and chiropractors to come up with a formula combining the numbing agent of lidocaine with the calming and anti-inflammatory properties of CBD.  This has received positive reviews from people who use their hands and/or feet extensively in their occupation or their exercise routines.

The Sweet Wellness story is all about one guy finding a solution to alleviating his pain and wanting to share it with the rest of the USA.  At this time, all shipments are limited to addresses in the USA.
